HB-Sealant Black (5L–20L)

Key Features:

• Waterproof Protection: Easy and cold applied product forms a seamless and flexible barrier for retaining walls and roof slabs.
• Environmental factors: The bituminous nature makes it inherently resistance against soil microbes, salts and sulphates ideal for foundations.
• Flexible and Durable: It can be combined with waterproofing membrane or plaster mensch to accommodate a cracking substrate like old slabs or provide extra tininess on retaining walls.

Application Instructions:

1. Surface Preparation:
   • Old cement needs to be cleaned properly, all dust and lose material needs to be removed. The substrate needs to be dry.
   • New cement plaster or concrete floors and retaining walls needs to be cured properly.
   • Important to apply our bonding liquid to penetrate the cement and provide good uniform surface for overcoat to adhere properly.
   • Our heavy duty solvent based AR primer can be considered in areas where extra strong adhesion is required.
2. Identify and Seal Leaks:
   • Pinpoint leaking areas (cracks, expansion joints, roof fixtures and sky lights) and apply LiquidRubber® HB sealant with a waterproof membrane (1-1.25L/m²).
   • In case of a roof slab ensure all downpipes are clear of obstructions.
3. Coating Application:
   • Make use of 1m with waterproofing membrane to build a seamless waterproof barrier by imbedding the cloth into the wet HB sealant and overcoat it 2 layers.
   • Apply 3-4 coats using a brush or roller ( 15 to 18 m²per 20l)
   • Use 200 mm waterproofing cloth to do counter flashing and sealing around sky lights.
   • Important to cure the coating at least 7 days before filling with water or backfilling with soil.

Maintenance:

• Expected service life: 5-6 years, with a maintenance coat recommended in year 5 or 6.

Limitations:

• At application void applying HB sealant on surfaces exceeding 45°C.
• Do not apply in rainy conditions.
